& SIGN WRITING

We were honoured to be asked to contribute a mural to welcome visitors to the London Letterheads event in 2018.

Letterheads in an international event where Signwriters and lettering enthusiasts meet, attend workshops and share tips and skills. The event is hosted in a different country every year and as a London based collective it was a great pleasure to be asked to contribute.

We took the inspiration for this project from a number of old ‘ghost signs’ from around London and worked in two faux signwriter characters painting the mural.

In September 2018, Jake Tyler and Hana Sunny Whaler of Alphabetics Anonymous teamed up with Blue Shop Cottage to design and hand-paint a mural at East Dulwich railway station. POP BRIXTON CONTAINER MURAL

Using the Brixton postcode SW9, we created an abstract piece of artwork using layered shapes and letterforms in classic sign written styles. We worked with the existing container graphics to produce a design that sits comfortably with in it surroundings.

Ornaments make the perfect Christmas present, each artwork depicts a single ornate letter gilded with 23ct Gold leaf and completed with Scalloped edges.

They come in two sizes, 15cm x 15cm and for a more detailed letter, 25cm by 25cm.

All orders will be painted, packaged and posted as hygienically and responsibly as possible, adhering to government guidelines regarding Covid-19. Complying to social distancing measures, we will be dispatching orders in bulk to avoid multiple excursions to the post office, meaning longer delivery time of approximately 7-10 days from your order.
